BrettYoung Announces Significant Investment in Bulk Storage Capacity

WINNIPEG, MB – Brett-Young Seeds Limited is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved a substantial expansion of the company’s bulk seed storage capacity at its Winnipeg facility. This investment enhances BrettYoung’s ability to satisfy the needs of its seed production partners and its customers.  The investment will add over 300,000 bushels of additional rough seed storage.

“This expansion significantly improves our capacity to expedite the timely receiving and processing of the various crops that our seed production partners invest in.” says Cory Baseraba, Chief Operating Officer at BrettYoung. “Along with the other recent additions BrettYoung has made, such as in a state-of-the-art seed coating and treating facility, recent new seed storage warehouse construction, and expansion to our blending and packaging capacity, it allows us to meet growing demand and the increased level of services and seed enhancements our customers are requesting.”

“The Board enthusiastically supports this plan which is a direct reflection of our ongoing commitment to provide value added products and industry leading service” said Lloyd Dyck, Chair of BrettYoung. “We believe it demonstrates our continued commitment to our long-standing seed grower partners.”

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer.
