WINNIPEG, MB – As an important element of its leadership continuity plan, BrettYoung’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce a number of upcoming changes to its senior leadership.
Effective September 1st, 2023, Trevor Thiessen’s Board term will expire, and he’ll depart from the Board of Directors; Lloyd Dyck will leave his role as Chairman of the Board and take a seat on the Board as a Director; Calvin Sonntag will step down as Chief Executive Officer to take on the role of Executive Chairman; and Erik Dyck, currently BrettYoung’s Director, Business Development, will become BrettYoung’s new Chief Executive Officer.
“This most recent chapter in the long history of BrettYoung has been an exciting one characterized by significant growth and development of the company in so many areas. Trevor and Calvin have been an integral part of the team that has accomplished that” says Lloyd Dyck, outgoing Chairman for BrettYoung. “We thank them for their many contributions and look forward to the next chapter in BrettYoung’s story.”
Lloyd further added, “In the role of Chief Executive Officer, Erik will bring his deep experience at BrettYoung along with his passion and enthusiasm for BrettYoung’s business, its world-class suppliers and amazing customers to the leadership team. The Board wishes Erik and his team every success in this transition, and we’ll be here to support and encourage them every step of the way.”
