- Used for revegetation, erosion control and low-maintenance turf

- Not recommended for forage production but palatable to livestock and wildlife, especially in spring when protein is high
- Excellent drought tolerance
- Good seedling vigour
- More drought tolerant than western wheatgrass
- Very fire tolerant
